[Vertical] hardwood, engineered flooring, lambri, masif
Shopify for hardwood, sold in plank — not piece.
Hardwood is sold by carton, by board foot, by species. Themes flatten that into single-piece variants and lose the buyer at the first quote. We build the surfaces that hold: storefront priced by board foot, sample chips that credit forward, trade portal on Net-30, production photo threads for custom orders.
The places wood breaks Shopify.
- N°01UNIT
Wood is priced per board foot, sold by carton, shipped by LTL — and a Shopify theme variant has none of those handles.
- N°02GRADE
Species and grade matter; theme variant systems collapse both into a single dropdown and lose the buyer's confidence.
- N°03TRADE
Trade contractors order on Net-30 with their own price tier — a discount code is not a Net-30 invoice.
- N°04SAMPLE
Sample chips need to ship cheap, then credit forward to the order. Most carts treat samples as orphan transactions.
- N°05PRODUCTION
Custom orders run fourteen-week production cycles — themes have nowhere to thread the milestones the customer needs to see.
The bespoke surfaces a wood build leans on.
These are the systems we have already built for wood brands. Eleven systems live in the library; the 5 below are the ones a wood catalogue leans on first.
Where the system holds the weight.
Every six-layer build runs; the 4 below are the layers that do the heaviest lifting for wood.
Not a freelance agency. A growth system designer.
We build the whole system, ship it, and stay on as the partner who runs it. The vertical is hardwood, engineered flooring, lambri, masif — but the work is the system that holds the vertical, six layers deep. We carry six to eight engagements at a time, on purpose, because that is how the system gets shipped at the standard we want it shipped at.
[N°05] Common questions · wood
What every wood brand asks first.
The five questions material brands selling hardwood, engineered flooring, lambri, masif put to the studio before the discovery call.
Do you build Shopify for hardwood and lumber brands?
Yes — wood is one of the four verticals the studio runs. Hardwood, engineered, lambri, masif — all priced by board foot or carton, with freight, sample, and trade rails built in.
Can the storefront quote by board foot or carton?
Yes — the sq-ft calculator handles board feet, cartons, and square footage in the same surface. The buyer enters the room they are flooring; the storefront returns the carton count and the price.
Do you handle production tracking for custom wood orders?
Production Tracker is one of the eleven systems. Each milestone — mill cut, kiln dried, finishing, shipping — gets its own moment in the customer thread.
What about trade contractors?
Trade Portal binds price, MOQ, and Net-30 to the customer identity. Contractors see their pricing; retail sees theirs. Same catalogue, different rails.
How do you migrate hardwood catalogues?
We migrate from any platform — even ones without an export API. Scrape, rebuild, redirect every URL, retain customer order history. The wood vertical's data layer is brittle by default; we treat it accordingly.
Build the wood system?
Every engagement starts with a paid discovery. We map your catalogue across the six layers and tell you which surfaces are off-the-shelf, which get adapted, and what is new.
